Rev. George J. Krim, S.J. was born in Boston, November 23, 1870 and entered the Society of Jesus on August 14, 1888.
His early teaching career was spent at Brooklyn Prep. In 1902, he went to Woodstock for his Theology where he was ordained in 1905.
In 1906, he was Minister to the Community at Fordham and in 1906, was a Missionary working out of Boston.
Father Krim was appointed Rector of Canisius University on January 1, 1913. He was the last Rector of Canisius University to live on Washington Street (two independent communities were later established). The Student Army Training Corps was set up during World War I at Canisius.
On January 19, 1919 he was appointed Rector of the College in Brooklyn, serving a little more than a year. Father Krim died as Rector of Brooklyn on April 1, 1920.
