Resource Sharing

Important Connect NY Update

The Canisius College Library is pleased to announce that we are fully transitioning our interlibrary loan system to Alma Resource Sharing. Since fall 2022, the library has been utilizing Alma alongside our preexisting interlibrary loan service, ConnectNY, which we first joined in 2005.

Though ConnectNY served Canisius well for years, Alma’s wider network of academic libraries throughout New York state (50+ to ConnectNY’s 10) offers a number of benefits over its predecessor, including greater access to more materials, faster delivery and significant cost savings. As a result, we will be phasing out ConnectNY during the spring 2023 semester and servicing 100% of interlibrary loan requests through Alma.

Need materials you can't find at our Library?

Available to all Canisius students, faculty, and staff—Resource Sharing is a service for accessing books, articles, and more from other libraries.

Watch the brief video below to learn how to request an item through Primo (recommended resource sharing method). Traditional interlibrary loan services are also still available through our Tipasa interlibrary loan service.
