Welcome to the Faculty Resources Libguide. This guide is designed to give faculty resources that will assist them with Information Literacy instruction at all levels. Information Literacy is a central institutional learning goal, and it is the responsibility of the Core Curriculum and the majors to foster the critical thinking skills that are at the heart of Information Literacy. 

Library Services for Faculty

The library staff supports academic programs' information literacy efforts at all levels

Our staff members can:

  • provide Information Literacy Instruction tailored to specific course objectives and assignments, both in-person and online;
  • help instructors create effective assignments that make the most of library and other reliable resources while addressing information literacy concepts;
  • collaborate with  programs to craft assessable Information Literacy learning goals and objectives that reflect current information literacy standards;
  • collaborate with programs through our Library Liaison Program to build a collection that fits research & curriculum needs for each program;
  • place resources & materials on Reserve for student access;
  • assist programs in identifying information literacy already being taught in programs' curricula, devising ways to address the objectives more purposefully.
