Interlibrary Loan:
We can borrow materials for you from libraries across the country or scan articles we own here, just place a request through ILL - our Interlibrary Loan Service.
To request a copy of an article or book chapter that Canisius owns in print only fill out the appropriate request form (Article - Book Book and check the box I only need a specific chapter or pages). Please make a note in the “Comments” field that the item is owned by Canisius and you are an online Anthrozoo student. We will either scan the item (if possible) or attempt to purchase an online edition. If we cannot find an online edition and you need the entire book we will mail the book to you. Please be advised that more time is needed to fulfill these requests, especially if you are located in another country.
To request an item that Canisius does not own, follow the steps above. If the item is an article, it will be sent to you in pdf format. You will be notified by email when the item has arrived and you just need to follow the instructions listed in the email. you can request a book from another library, however, we cannot mail books from other libraries. We are able to scan the table of contents information and one or two chapters from these books. If you would like an entire book we strongly suggest you submit the request a purchase form for the title and we will try to fulfill your request. Please note in the “Other information” field that you are an online Anthrozoo student. These requests will usually be fulfilled with the e-book version.
