THE LIBRARY: INNOVATIVE COLLABORATIVE TRANSFORMATIVE
ALBL is a dynamic space for innovation and collaboration that inspires lifelong learners.
With values emerging from our Catholic, Jesuit traditions, and rooted in the mission of the College, the Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library serves as the intellectual, academic, and social center of Canisius, transforming students and others into lifelong learners who will serve and lead in a global society.
The library achieves this mission by:
● Providing access to a broad and deep range of information resources and tools to support academic success.
● Providing opportunities to develop critical thinking in a collaborative environment.
● Building relationships focused on scholarly inquiry.
● Providing comfortable, safe, and inspirational spaces to engage the entire campus, community partners, and visitors.
● Identifying, curating, and preserving institutional memory.
